Anyone own a High Definition Radio in the Area? We were thinking about it the other day, when I am traveling around the country I hear a lot of stations talking about their High Def stations. One Public Radio Station had a High Def Talk Station, another Classics and another Jazz station. Saw them available at Best Buy, but it was not hooked up.
Country / high def? What's the point? send it back to AM wherre it belongs, IMHO. Hught, you weren't the other one to vote for jazz? I'm disappointed, depressed, kinda like my Av...."Don't talk to me about life...."
Here i am, brain the size of a planet and they ask me about radio formats. Call that job satisfaction? 'Cuz i don't.
Simple solution. Get XM satellite radio and you get every one of the genre's listed in the poll. I listen more to the baseball talk and games, but I love the fact it has so many different choices in music.
While I have Sirius in all 3 of my vehicles, I will say that every now and then (very rarely) pop over to listen to regular radio. And every time I do it makes me glad that I have Sirius. Craig
We'll all have basically the same service in a few months. Looks like the merger will not hit any snags. I've got the XM more for the baseball package.
Have you ever listened to 98.9FM out of Windsor or Bethel. Classic Country like Kenny Rogers, Cal Smith, etc. I actually have heard one of my favorite country song "Hello Country Bumpkin."
A fan! If this keeps up, I won't have to so depressed anymore. but I don't suppose it will, and anyway, I wouldn't like it.
WCPE, listener supported. I have it as a preset in my truck, and I don't have any trouble picking it up in the places where I usually drive, except when I go east of Rocky Mount. And you don't have to woory about interrruptions from commercials or NPR breaking in with an hour of news. Good station. WSHA is another favorite of mine...Jazz. Broadcast from Shaw University. I do have trouble getting that one if I get too far from Raleigh. No problems getting it in Clayton, though.
