Well, went to Lowes during lunch yesterday. Only used a few coupons. Total before was around $45. After coupons and sales it was $34. That was pretty cool. Then a store coupon fell out of my binder. It was $15 off my next order. I took it to customer service and they gave me $15 since I had already finished my transaction. So The $45 trip ended up being $19. Not bad. I was happy I went. I'll get down to that $50/mth yet Frogger
Hi guys, I am like FF and have never done this. I am going to go today while I can and give it a try. Do they honor the rewards WITH the triples? I made a trip last week just on regular coupons and got $41 worth of groceries after a $34 savings! I was so stoked! I am going to try this and see what happens. Thanks for the tips ladies.
Gosh....I feel so special right now!!! Will be going back in there tonight to see if they had a few of the things I wanted that they were out of. Heck, even my husband was excited last night. He was with me (made him push the cart!).
ok I did it. It was slim pickin's this afternoon but I managed to get most of what I wanted (except for the string cheese). So minus the stuff I bought that wasn't on sale or discounted I spent $100 and had a savings of $61. Not bad for almost half! I will try to be better prepared next time since I was going through coupons in the car before walking in...lol.
My best trip was $55.71 before store card & coupons and I paid $7.59. I think I did pretty good on that trip even though 2 coupons didn't double or triple. I don't know why, they were both for 50 cents.
Following are my totals for all three days. Wed and Thursday I shopped in Clayton and Friday I shopped in Garner. In Garner, they owed me money on 2 of the sales ($1.78 on one sale and $1.02 on another)! When I got home I looked over the receipt closely and saw that since the Handi Snacks coupons were not scanning automatically, they were entered manually and fully tripled. This created an overage that allowed for the negative balance. Subtotal before sales and coupons: $ 604.46 Total Saved: $ 537.13 Total Paid: $ 54.68 Percent Saved: 91% I really enjoyed talking with so many of you at the store this week! Another couponer made a yoda analogy and now I am calling my organizer my light saber.....my weapon of choice for slashing grocery prices! Ok, I know, that was really bad. Have a lovely Sunday, Faye
