URGENT....need advice if anyone has any

i dont think we all should have guns, my ex had gun hidden in attic when one morning it was quiet upstairs went to see my 3 yr old with dads rifle drapped over his shoulder.....that was the end of guns in my home forever, hubby hunted but gun was stored at grampas house under lock and key, heard to many kids accidenly shoot themselves or others, what good is a gun if intruder is in your house and you suprise him not like hes gonna wait while you get gun load it and aim, what if a family member gets up middle of night and you get trigger happy? No thanks no guns for me, just not worth the risk, besides if EVERYONE had a gun in their home just imagine all the deaths that would occur....enough violence already without adding a firearm.

Homeowner Startles Burglars
Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after they attempted to break into a home near Clayton. The suspects reportedly went to a residence on Melissa Court and knocked on the door. The homeowner did not know the two young men and did not come to the door. The suspects left, only to return about 30 minutes later and broke into the back door. When they encountered the homeowner, they fled. Sheriff’s deputies later arrested 16 year-old Brian Michael Hoeger of Clayton and 20 year-old Matthew Garrison Hoeger of Raleigh on felony breaking and entering charges. The owner of the residence, Derek Wayne Hutchens, was not injured.
